InterWest Search, has been chosen to assist an acute care hospital located south of Stockton, CA in its search for a Infection Prevention Nurse. The Infection Prevention Nurse carries out the infection control duties of surveillance, education, and consultation as assigned by the Director of Quality Assessment and Improvement (QA&I) and abides by the Standards of Behavior for the organization. MIN EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 1. Graduation from an accredited institution of nursing.2. 2 Yrs of background in health care.3. 2 Years background in Infection Control or progressive background in nursing, epidemiology, or public health may be substituted.4. Current State of California RN license.5. Current Certification in Infection Control by the Certification Board of Infection Control or obtains such certification within 3yrs of hire.6. Knowledge of microbiology terminology.7. Basic mathematical and data analysis skills (rate calculation, trend analysis, etc.). 8. Competent in the application and reading of skin tests.
